Synopsis

I worked with Article Agency on a social media campaign for Hoka, a well-known running and sportswear brand. We highlighted Hoka’s top-selling shoes from 2020 using a series of short, lively video carousels for Instagram and Facebook. Each video needed to be bold and energetic to reflect Hoka’s athletic style. We wanted to reach runners, hikers, and other active people, while making sure the look stayed clean and high-quality.

Paid Social

This video shows an animation with a call to actionwith the requested duration to atract clients to the website. It was an add on requested later on besides the serie of carousels designed for instagram where you can see the colour variation of the models that were on sale.

Subtitles

The graphics team reached out to me to help them with subtitling some of their ads. I created subtitles in French, German, and English using Premiere Pro, making sure that the translations were well-timed and fit the brand’s style and rhythm.

The Project

Hoka wanted to create short animated carousels showing their best-selling shoes from 2020. Each video was designed to be about 5 to 7 seconds long, smoothly transitioning between the shoe colour variants. The template included the shoe name, key tags, and catchy slogans while capturing the brand's vibrant and athletic spirit. They provided some visual references along with initial ideas, which I tweaked to better align with their updated branding and products.

I took charge of developing the 3 initial concepts, using the company assets provided and finess the final layout. Throughout the project, I crafted around 20 looping videos, one for each shoe. We went through four rounds of feedback over a few months, adjusting the pacing and the initial concept until we got everything just right.

This project was my first with a client, and it taught me a lot about managing feedback, working with agencies, and keeping the design consistent with the brand’s identity.
